Make three of pattern 1, one of
pattern 2
Pattern 1:
CO3 with black
Rows 1 - 10 (or 12 - as big as the holes in the cloth): k
BO
Pattern 2:
CO6 with black (2+2+2) and work in round
Rnd 1: *kfb, k1*, rep *-* around (9)
Rnd 2: *kfb, k2*, rep *.* around (12)
Rnd 3: *kfb, k3*, rep *.* around (15)
Rnd 4: *kfb, k4*, rep *.* around (18)
Rnds 5 - 7: k
Rnd 8: *k2tog, k4*, rep *.* around (15)
Rnd 9: *k2tog, k3*, rep *.* around (12)
Rnd 10: *k2tog, k2*, rep *.* around (9)
Stuff the ball and make the last rnd:
Rnd 11: *k2tog, k1*, rep *.* around (6)
Cut the yarn and draw through the sts, pull
