Boy-doll

17.07.06
You need:

cotton in the colours you like
a hook which goes with the yarn. Her I used number 5.
2 small wooden balls to the feet, 1 to the head
2 buttons (hands),
1 big button (hat) (the hat-button must have 2/4 holes in order to pass the tread, so that the puppet can hang)

Put the wodden pearl on the tread you need to the legs/trousers.

Chain 8 cn as usual, but when you're going to make the last you must make it around the pearl.
Now make the basic row as usual.
Cut the tread ond make another leg.

The body:
make a basic row with
4 cn, and continue with 6 rows in TSS.
Last row:
hook trough the 2 strand in the middle, YO and through all lopps on hook, close again with YO and through the loop.
Cut and sew.

Arms:
make a BR with 6 cn. Cut and add the buttons (hands). Make the doll as photo.

Head:
add a pearl on a strong piece of yarn. Pull it through the button-hat (bended side down).

Same doll as above, but in two colours.
Changing colour:
when you have the lasto 2 loops on the last row in the first colour, YO with the new colour. In this way you will nok get two rows with the same colour. (try and you'l understand what I mean).

Here I added buttons for hands and shoes.
